National Schools' First Aid Competition

National Schools Competition 2007

This competition provides young people in schools the opportunity to practice their first aid skills in a realistic, fun and active manner.

Schools may enter up to three teams, but may not enter more than one regional competition.

The deadline for this competition has now been extended to: 21 April 2008.

All teams will compete at a regional elimination round, with the winners going foward to the National Final for the chance to become the overall winner (a comprehensive handbook and support is available from Ruth Christmas).

Teams consist of four members, a reserve can also be nominated. All team members, including the reserve, will participate. There are two age sections:

The National schools’ first aid competition is a fun way for young people to practise their first aid skills in a safe environment.

  • Junior seven to 11
  • Senior 11 to 15 (maximum year 10)

The winner and runner up of this competition will be invited to take part in the Young Grand Prior Competition.

This competition is based on the Young first aider course available from St John Ambulance.

Teams with special needs are encouraged to enter. Support will be given to make sure everyone has equal chances to win.
