The UK Championship for the Grand Prior Trophy 2007
Taking part in the UK championship helps
first aiders maintain their essential first aid skills so they are
confident and ready in case of an emergency.
All competitors must have participated in a national elimination
event approved by St John Ambulance. These events are:
- Industry challenge
- National industrial competition.
Teams consist of two competitors and an optional reserve and
must be first aiders in the workplace who hold a current first aid
at work certificate. Salaried trainers or assessors of first aid,
registered paramedics and training providers may
not enter.
Industry challenge
A minimum of six teams is required to run your own industry
challenge which must be registered with St John Ambulance.
National industrial competition
If your organisation is unable to make up six teams and hold
their own challenge, teams may enter the National industrial
competition. This means you compete against other smaller
organisations.
This is set to take place at the Spa Complex,
Scarborough on Thursday 11 October.
The winners and runners up of each challenge will be
invited to the Grand Prior Championship which will take place on
27 November at the Spa Complex.
This is a very popular event with organisations such as the
Police, Fire Service, Rail Industry, Post Office etc taking
part.
The 2007 competition is sponsored by Tarmac Limited.
