CPR, defibrillation (
AED
) and oxygen
therapy
In the UK, one person suffers a heart
attack every two minutes (source - British Heart Foundation, June
2004), but the majority could be saved if their heart could be
defibrillated - shocked back into rhythm - within five minutes.
Anyone trained in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and
Automated External Defibrillation (
AED
) can save a life,
with the equipment on site. The application of an AED in those
first crucial minutes will increase a person's chance of survival
from 5% to over 50%.
Cardio pulmonary resuscitation and Automated external
defibrillator
An
AED
(defibrillator) in the workplace is an invaluable addition to
health and safety provision for your employees as they are
proven to save lives. With installation of any
AED
we highly recommend
you train personnel in its usage.

AED
