What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a very simple and effective way of giving money to charity.

St John Ambulance can claim back 28p from HM Revenue and Customs for every pound you give, on the condition that you are a UK tax payer. This is at no extra cost to you.

For example, if you were able to donate £20.00, we would be able to claim an additional £5.64 from HM Revenue and Customs, bringing your donation to a total of £25.64.

How can I give through gift aid?

To increase the value of your donation to St John Ambulance through gift aid all you need to do is tick the Gift Aid declaration box when donating online or fill in the relevant form if donating by post.

Please remember that you must pay income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equivalent to the amount that we will reclaim on your donations.
