Door-to-door fundraising
Fundraisers wearing St John Ambulance
t-shirts and ID badges are visiting households around the UK to
talk to residents about the work of St John Ambulance and to
encourage their support with a voluntary donation once a year, by
direct debit.
Why
St John Ambulance is currently working on a door-to-door
supporter recruitment scheme in over 30 counties around the UK with
the help of fundraisers from Wesser & Partner.
In England alone, already over 90,000 supporters are supporting
St John Ambulance through this annual giving scheme.
As a result of the government gift aid scheme, St John Ambulance
is able to claim an additional 28p for each £1 donated from this
scheme.
This form of fundraising is extremely important to St John
Ambulance because the more long-term supporters we can recruit, the
more funds we raise - and the greater potential we have to continue
our life-saving activities in our local communities.
