Welcome to Badgers!

Anyone aged between five and 10 years old can join one of our many Badger Setts, which operate throughout the county. At Badgers it's all about fun!

Badgers take part in an active programme working towards their Super Badger Award. The programme has been developed to enable young people to learn important life skills in a fun and safe environment.

Badgers can choose from 15 subjects to help complete their award. These range from Active and Adventure, to Healthy and Caring. Once a Badger has collected 12 subjects they become a Super Badger!

Badgers learn important first aid skills through their Super Badger Award and the Young lifesaver award. Badgers also get a really smart black and white uniform, which they can wear in the Sett and at some public events.

Badgers usually meet once a week for around an hour and a half. Our Badger leaders are appropriately trained and follow guidelines to ensure young people are safe and get the most out of being a member of St John Ambulance.

Within the West Midlands we offer lots of fun and exciting Badger events. These include Badger sports day; Badger weekend camp and Badger arts and crafts residential. Badgers get the opportunity to take part in annual competitions, and could even represent the West Midlands in a national competition.

Being at Badgers is so much more fun than playing on my PlayStation at home!
