At university

LINKS volunteersIf you are at university within the West Midlands there is a St John Ambulance student group that you can join.

Life saving skills

These groups, called LINKS units, meet at each university. Originally set up for existing St John Ambulance members who were moving away to university but wanted to retain links with the organisation (hence the name), now the majority of members are recruited to St John Ambulance whilst at university.

If you are a LINKS member you can gain useful life experience and skills, as well as gaining important training such as the First aid at work certificate and qualifications that allow you to crew ambulances.
