Over 40 runners were treated by staff and volunteers at the EDF Energy half marathon in Birmingham recently.

Last year's County Cadet of the Year, Kinda, was chosen as a deputy national Cadet of the year. As part of her responsibilities to represent the organisation, she was invited to Windsor Palace to deliver a birthday card to Her Majesty the Queen.

Every year, St John Ambulance West Midlands organises a summer camp for its Cadets (10 - 18 years). This year, summer camp was held in Derbyshire, and we asked 15-year-old cadet Ben to write a diary of what went on during the week.

March saw the annual St Patrick’s Parade through Digbeth, Birmingham and 30 St John Ambulance volunteers were there to provide first aid to the 100,000 strong crowd.
