Patient transport services
All our well trained, qualified
crews are able to offer a professional approach to
providing care and transportation to a full range of clients. Our
service provides transport locally, nationally or
internationally, whether the trips are scheduled or one
off.
With a fleet of modern vehicles that are well
equipped, our frontline ambulances are
CEN
compliant and
BSI
friendly and
complete with satellite navigation systems. Our fleet
includes emergency ambulances, patient transport ambulances,
rapid response/paramedic vehicles, 4x4 ambulances and both large
and small mobile first aid units.
St John Ambulance in Suffolk has been at the forefront
of the design and specification of the organisations
standard vehicle, the 'Crusader 900'. The design allows for
multiple uses, including emergency ambulance, mobile first aid
unit and wheelchair transport.
Further input from St John Ambulance in Suffolk contributed
to the design of the bariatric ambulance used to provide transport
to obese patients, providing clients with the respect and dignity
that they deserve, coupled with the engineering and practical
aspects of the vehicle and crew requirements.
All surplus generated from our patient transport
service work goes to support our charitable mission and the
vital work of our volunteers.
