Community first responder scheme

Defib

The Community first responder scheme is a joint venture between St John Ambulance in Gloucestershire and Great Western Ambulance Service Gloucestershire (North) Sector

Working together we are providing an additional service for the community to enhance patient care and increase survival rate from life threatening medical emergencies.

Our aim is:

Community first responders who live or work in the area, are called to deliver early care to patients with life threatening medical emergencies prior to the arrival of an ambulance
