Community Fundraising Coordinator

'I have worked for St John Ambulance for a year and a half and
my role is to support the counties and members of the public with
their fundraising.
I first got into fundraising when I volunteered for a
local charity helping out at their events. After completing a
degree in Management Science and Information Systems I worked for a
small charity on their magazine and then moved onto
St John Ambulance.
I get to meet and talk to a lot of our volunteers. Its great to
hear their enthusiasm and also their reasons for fundraising.
The volunteers of St John Ambulance are very inspirational and its great working alongside them knowing that the job you are doing is helping them to save more lives.

The first thing I worked on was the national Tesco
collection we have for our members, and we raised an extra £60,000
than the previous year and totalled over £300,000 across the
UK.
My favourite event is our new event the Big Tea Cosy where we
are encouraging our members and the public to hold tea parties and
get involved.
This is a great organisation to work for as there are so many
things you can get involved in from volunteering, fundraising and
events to becoming a first aider. The volunteers of St John
Ambulance are very inspirational and its great working alongside
them knowing that the job you are doing is helping them to save
more lives.'
