Get involved during National Volunteers' Week
Your local St John Ambulance headquarters
is opening its doors to celebrate Volunteers’ Week, which takes
place during 1-7 June 2007.
Potential volunteers are invited to meet existing members and
find out about the organisation.
'We’re always excited to welcome new
volunteers,' said a St John Ambulance spokesperson. 'People
generally associate us with football matches, concerts and village
fetes but in addition to first aid we have numerous volunteers in
support roles such as fundraising, PR and administration.

'We also have an exciting Youth programme;
young people aged between five and 18 can join our Badger or
Cadet groups which are led by volunteers. They can take part
in varied activities - such as adventure breaks and canoeing –
volunteering with St John Ambulance is a lot of fun.'
