Bristol Harbour Festival first aid
More than 150,000 people attended this
years'
Bristol Harbour Festival and volunteers from St John Ambulance
in Avon were on hand to give first aid.
Over fifty volunteers in two treatment centres, eight vehicles
and a cycle response unit treated over 150 patients over the
weekend.
Avon's fast-acting first aiders so impressed members of another
charity stand also at the festival, that they gave a donation of
£1,000 which is being put towards the purchase of a new bike
for the cycle response unit.
Thank you for helping my grandson who cut his foot in the water fountains and was rather panicking. I found you very helpful and friendly. You put his mind at rest straight away.
